Transplants were set out on May 30 at the University of Wisconsin Experimental Farm, Hancock, Wl. Plots consisted of 10 plants per row at 18-inches in the row, 4 rows per plot, and 4 replicates per treatment. Row spacing was 36-inches. The 2 center rows of each plot were sprayed using a tractor mounted Myers Sprayer with a 6-foot boom delivering 33 gallons spray/acre. Sprays were applied on Jul 21, 28, Aug 4, and 11. ECB egg masses (approximately 50 eggs each) were obtained from the USDA-ARS Corn Insects Investigations Lab., Ankeny, Iowa, and one egg mass was pinned on each plant on Jul 26. Yields were taken from uninfested plants and adjusted for ECB damage.
