Insecticides were applied to bouquets consisting of 5 terminals from 30- to 40-day-old greenhouse-grown Perfected Freezer peas by dipping the foliage into several water dilutions of the pesticides. Each bouquet was then drained and air dried for 2 h, and then placed into a 2-qt container. Each container was infested with 5 larvae of a given size from the laboratory colony and then closed with a gauze cloth. The containers were held under a 16-h photophase at a temperature of 65 to 75°F. Mortality resulting from molting failure was determined at 3, 5, and 10 days after treatment.
