Four insecticides were evaluated for flower thrips control between July 5, and July 24, 1978. The plantings were located at the Federal Church, West Lafayette, Indiana. All of the treatments were foliar applications applied with a one gallon B&G Stainless Steel compressed air sprayer operating at 30 psi. A randomized block design with 3 replicates was used. Each plot consisted of an individual plant 8-10 inch high. Three weeks after treatment 5-6 inch foliage and flower samples were removed, bagged, taken to the laboratory placed in a Berlese Funnel and the collected thrips counted under a binocular microscope.
