Barley was planted at the C. N. Brown farm Bedford County, Va. Sept 20. Plots were 0.01 acre and replicated three times in a randomized complete block design. Insecticides were applied Nov 1 using a “back-pack” CO2 pressurized sprayer with a three ft boom. The boom had three (BC6, 70°) nozzles ten inches apart. This system delivered 21.5 GPA at 40 psi.
