Experimental trees were maintained in a commercial orchard near Johnston, South Carolina leased by the Entomology Department. Treatments were made to specific areas of trees known to be infested with yellow aphids. Pretreatment aphid counts were made and efficacy was determined by comparing these with post treatment aphid counts. Materials were applied with a compressed air sprayer to the point of run-off, and mortality determined 24 hours later. All treatments were replicated three times.
