Dimilin (1,10,25,50,100, or 300 ppm, based on dry weight) was incorporated into 25 g of larval diet (ground sugarcane pulp, whole wheat flour, and fish meal) in a 250-ml beaker by adding the chemical in 75 ml of water. Each beaker was seeded with 100 eggs from the laboratory colony, covered with black muslin and held at 27°C. Pupae were removed from the beaker and placed in small holdings cages for adult emergence. There was 3 replications of each dose.
