The experiment was conducted on mature 'Caspiana' pecan trees at Whitehall, LA. The experimental design was a completely randomized design with 5 single tree replications per treatment. Applications were made with a John Bean 957 sprayer with each tree receiving ca 35 gal of spray. The Superior 70 Oil was applied February 26 while all other treatments were applied April 2. Evaluation occurred May 3 by counting the number of terminals infested and the number of phylloxera galls present on 75 randomly selected terminals per tree. Data were subjected to analysis of variance.
