Insecticides were applied on 14, Jul, 7 and 24 Aug on ‘DES 119’ cotton in Lonoke County, AR using a John Deere Hi-Cycle 6000 sprayer equipped with a CO2 powered system for spraying small plots. The sprayer was calibrated to deliver 10 gal/acre at 50 psi through TX-8 hollowcone nozzles on a 19-inch spacing. Plots were 10, 38-inch rows, 50 ft long arranged in a RCB design with 4 replications. Insect counts were made at 2-3 DAT with the exception of 24 Aug after which no counts were made. Counts were made by whole plant examinations of 14 row ft in each plot counting larvae and larval damage. Plots were harvested using a John Deere 2-row picker, harvesting the center 2 rows of each plot.
