The test was conducted in a commercial orchard in Orondo, Washington. The orchard had a well established WPM population at bloom. The experimental design was a randomized complete block with 3 treatments and 5 replications. Experimental units were single trees. Population samples were brushed leaf counts, 25 leaves per tree taken periodically through the growing season. Treatments were applied on 6 May. Applications were to the point of drip with a handgun at 300 psi. Tetranychid mites were present in the orchard but were found only occasionally and never at densities greater than 0.04 mites per leaf.
