Four insecticidal treatments were tested for efficacy against WGLS larvae. Plots were located in a 1-acre section of 30-yr-old ‘Thompson Seedless’ vines on the Fresno Research Farm. A randomized complete block design consisting of 5 treatments with 4 replicates was used. Each replicate included 5 treated vines along with 2 treated buffer vines. Treatments were applied to foliage on 8 Jul using a single-nozzle hand wand connected to a tractor-towed, pressurized (60 psi) 35-gal tank spray rig. Spray volume was 200 gal/acre. Direct observation counts of WGLS larvae on the middle 5 vines in each plot were made 1 day before treatment and on 4 dates after treatment.
