Green garden loopers were reared on Bio-Mixed 9000 in the laboratory; fifth instars were used in the test. One-inch-square ti-leaves were dipped in the insecticide solution and allowed to dry for 2 h on paper towels. After drying each square ti-leaf was placed in a 60- by 15-mm Petri dish on filter paper moistened with 0.5 ml distilled water. One green garden looper was placed in each dish. Each treatment consisted of 10 loopers and was replicated 3 times in time. Mortality was assessed at 1, 3, and 6 DAT. Artificial diet was added to the dishes in which the loopers consumed 100% of the ti-leaf.
