‘Sundance’ sweet corn was planted on 11 Jul at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center, Wooster. Plots were 3 rows wide on 30-inch centers, 30 ft long, with a single border row between them and a 4-ft alley at each end. A randomized complete block design with 4 replications was used. Treatments were applied on a 4-day schedule from 2 Sep (first tassels) until 23 Sep, using a hand-held CO2 single-nozzle sprayer delivering 30 psi and 20 gal/acre. Evaluations were made on 27 Sep; 50 ears/plot were examined for corn earworm larvae in the silks or on the ear.
