Soybean was planted in 30 inch rows at the Wye Research and Education Center neai Queenstown, Md., on 28 Jun. Treatment plots were 10 × 25 ft, replicated 4 times, and arranged in a randomized complete block design. At the time ol treatment on 4 Sep the plants were in the pod fill stage. Sprays were applied by CO2 backpack sprayer calibrated to deliver 20 gal/acre at 40 psi. Earworms were sampled by counting the number of larvae from 2 6-ft row samples/plot taken at random. Posttreatment samples were taken on 9 Sep.
