On 10 Jun in a residential area in Virginia Beach, VA. Treatments were randomly assigned to junipers, with 12 plants per treatment. Insecticides were applied using a 1-gal B&G compressed air sprayer at 30 psi, and junipers were treated to runoff. Pretreatment counts were made 1 wk before treatment and the day of treatment. Posttreatment counts were made 1 wk and 8 days after treatment. Number of mites were counted on 4 terminals 5 cm long. Temperature at time of treatment was 93°F and 1.92 inches of rainfall fell between application and evaluation.
