Plots were established in a growers field near Rothsay, Wilkin county, MN. Treatments were arranged in a randomized complete block and replicated 3 times. Plots were 4 rows by 30 ft long. Insecticides were broadcast applied on 10 Aug, using a hand held CO2 sprayer delivering a nozzel pressure of 40 lb psi and 20 gal total material per acre. Five of 10 plants had male florets extended (50% bloom) at time of application. Temperature was 87°F. Plant height was between 4.5 and 5 ft due to relatively severe drouth.
