A block of cabbage transplanted on 10 Jul ’84 on the Robert Wiggin Farm, Stratham, N.H., was utilized. A high population of cabbage aphid developed soon after transplanting making it possible to obtain information on its control even though the treatments were intended for the control of cabbage caterpillars. Spray applications of the various treatments were made on 3 and 10 Aug to plots consisting of 20-ft rows replicated 4 times and arranged in a randomized block design. Applications were made on both sides of the row using a B & G CO2 pressurized sprayer (40 psi) at a rate of 29 gal/acre. Aphid control evaluations were made on 14 Aug by determining the percentage of plants per replicate with at least 1 established aphid colony.
