At Hancock, Wisconsin, insecticides were applied to foliage of 3 replicates per treatment at 40 psi using hand sprayers. Two prebloom applications were made May 16 and 23 with each insecticide at a rate of 100 gal per acre, except for one treatment with Thiodan applied only on May 23. Captan fungicide was applied to all plots through harvest (June 25-July 8) for disease control. Strawberry blooms clipped by strawberry weevil were counted in a 20 ft2 sub-plot of each 70-foot row replicate on June 2 and 10. Weevil injury was evaluated as mean percent of blooms clipped.
