Leukocyte infiltration and angiogenesis in the forming corpus luteum are prerequisites for normal ovarian function and may also underlie disorders like ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. We examined whether ovarian angiogenesis could be affected by an interaction between granulosa-lutein (GL) cells and leukocytes.
