Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) is an important and dangerous aspect of assisted reproduction techniques. Although elective cryopreservation of all embryos can prevent pregnancy-induced late OHSS, it cannot prevent early OHSS, which is induced by hCG administration.
