Allelic differences at the Ah locus are shown to exist in the mouse brain. This finding probably explains inbred mouse strain differences in polycyclic hydrocarbon tumorigenesis of the brain described more than 35 years ago and may be important in understanding the etiology of genetic differences in certain human intracranial neoplasms.
