Investigating impacts of and susceptibility to rail noise playback across freshwater fishes reveals counterintuitive response profiles

This study investigated the effects of railway noise across distinct freshwater fishes to predict species-specific susceptibility as well further define noise as an environmental detriment. Results revealed that while predicting susceptibility is difficult, the impacts experienced further distinguish anthropogenic noise as a relevant stressor to the species effected.
