The analogue block representation favoured by engineers has been retained in the program described below. The problem to be solved is described entirely on the Program Instruction Tape, the KALDAS program operating in an interpretive mode. It is important that a general simulation program should be readily adaptable and facilities exist for the user to introduce additional complex blocks to suit his own requirements. The program is written in KDF9 ALGOL and can be used with standard ALGOL translators.
