Six treatments were evaluated in a field near Farmington, CA to determine their efficacy in controlling spider mites. The experimental design was a RCB with 4 replications. Sprays were applied with a 5-hp backpack mist blower on 31 July in a volume of 100 gpa. One lb of Orthene SP/acre was applied as a maintenance spray due to aphid pressure. Infestations were monitored by removing 10 leaves per plot and counting with a binocular dissecting scope at 15X.
