The 68 X 68 ft plots were in a 4-yr-old stand of ‘Wampr’ alfalfa. All treatments and the untreated control were replicated three times in a RCB design. Sprays were mixed to apply the proper rates in 20 gal total vol/acre. Treatments were applied 20 Jun with a low pressure, low volume Hahn field sprayer equipped with 21 stainless steel 8003 Tee Jet nozzles and operated at 35 psi. A standard treatment of Cygon 4 EC was applied at the rate of 0.25 lb (AI)/acre. PLH densities were determined 4, 7, 11 and 18 DAT by collecting 20 sweeps from each plot with a standard 15-inch-diam beating net.
