Hybrid Canola seed (‘Hyola 401’) was obtained from Zeneca Seeds, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. One third of the seed was coated with Gaucho 480F by Gustafson, Inc., Piano TX, 1/2 was mixed with Furadan CR10 and 1/3 untreated. Plots were 25 ft X 50 ft and planted with a standard plot drill on 15 May. Treatments were arranged in a RCB design replicated 2 two time. Germination and maturity were uniform.
