The experiment was conducted in a production field of transplanted onions (cv. ‘Redman’) near Greeley, CO. Onions were planted in two row beds and individual plots consisted of two beds, 25-ft in length, arranged in a randomized complete block design with three replications. Treatments were applied 30 Jun using a CO2 compressed air sprayer delivering 20 gal/acre at 35 psi. Treatment evaluations were made by counting all thrips on six plants within the center rows of each plot. Since populations were declining rapidly during the course of this experiment, only a single evaluation was made.
