We study the effects of $ \alpha '$ corrections to the K\"ahler potential onvolume stabilisation and racetrack inflation. In a region where classicalsupergravity analysis is justified, stringy corrections can nevertheless berelevant for correctly analyzing moduli stabilisation and the onset ofinflation.Comment: 13 pages, 4 figures.
