We consider the transverse-momentum distribution of heavy flavours inhadronic collisions. We present a formalism in which large transverse-momentumlogarithms are resummed at the next-to-leading level, and mass effects areincluded exactly up to order \alpha_strong^3, so as to retain predictivity atboth small and large transverse momenta. As an example, we apply our formalismto b production at the Tevatron.Comment: 34 pages, Latex, epsfig, 11 figures. Submitted to JHE
