Some Men provides a sympathetic account of men’s work on men’s violence\udagainst women in the U.S since the 1970s. The book’s most interesting contribution is\udas a collective historical account of men’s antiviolence work. The book is based on\udinterviews with fifty-two men who have worked in the field and a dozen of their female\udco-workers and mentors. It is focused on the U.S. but there are a couple of Canadians\udin the mix. Some Men divides interviewees into generational groups based on shifting\udentry points into antiviolence activism: from social movements to university education\udand public health to intersectional community work..
