It is shown that a generalized magneto-Bernoulli mechanism can effectivelygenerate high velocity flows in the Solar chromosphere by transforming theplasma pressure energy into kinetic energy. It is found that at reasonableheights and for realistic plasma parameters, there is a precipitous pressurefall accompanied by a sharp amplification of the flow speed.Comment: 11 pages of text and 2 figures.
