We discuss the fragmentation of primordial gas clouds in the universe afterdecoupling. Comparing the time scale of collapse with that of fragmentation, weobtain the typical mass of a fragment both numerically and analytically. It isshown that the estimated mass gives the minimum mass of a fragment which isformed from the primordial gas cloud and is essentially determined by theChandrasekhar mass.Comment: Astrophysical Journal Letters, in press (accepted 4 Oct 1996), 10 pages, Latex, 1 fi
