The results of a survey of galaxy redshifts toward the Sculptor void are presented. Radial velocities for 113 galaxies in the right ascension range 22 h-2 h and declination range −35° to −25° have been obtained. This region is of interest since there are suggestions that it contains a two-dimensional sheet of galaxies at the interface between two voids. We have added our redshifts to the known redshifts in this area and have applied a statistical test to determine the nature of the galaxy distribution in this volume of space. The method is aimed at quantifying the topology of the distribution. The method yields quantitative results which are consistent with a distribution of sheets and voids
