Significance Novel therapies are needed for ∼40% of patients with diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) who do not respond to standard immunochemotherapy. Here we show that dasatinib, a drug used in B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia and chronic myelogenous leukemia, may be repositioned for DLBCL therapy and combined with mTORC2 inhibitors for resistant cases. Our results can provide the basis for clinical trials using dasatinib for DLBCL as well as other lymphoid malignancies, which depend on cellular pathways targeted by dasatinib.
