Effective hair removal is now available even for the darkest-skinned patients, including Fitzpatrick skin type VI. With the long-pulse YAG laser, a deeply penetrating wavelength enables energy to reach the hair bulbs, adequate power and pulse duration heat and destroy the hair follicle, and low melanin absorption ensures less epidermal damage.
