A new type of transducer for piezoelectric generation of horizontally polarized shear waves was proposed recently. The wave field of such a Shear Horizontal Piezoelectric Fibre Patch (SHPFP) is now analyzed by 3D laser vibrometry, providing the first experimental prove that the SHPFP is an efficient SH0 transducer
