The MARK III detector at the SPEAR e+e− storage ring at SLAC accumulated a data sample of 5.8×106 J/ψ produced in 1982, ’83 and ’85. Recent results in radiative decays, including different decay modes of ηc and the search for scalars, are presented. The systematic study of the hadronic decays of the J/ψ into a vector‐tensor meson pair is discussed, and a detailed analysis of the decay mode J/ψ → ωf2(1270) is described.
