A method was proposed to achieve high-efficiency magnetorheological fluids using the mechanism of squeeze-strengthen effect. An apparatus was also designed to experimentally study the mechanism of this squeeze-strengthen effect. A semiempirical model was also proposed to explain this effect. The comparison between the simulation result and the experimental results indicates that this model can accurately predict the squeeze-strengthen effect.
