In America it has caused a very large number of deaths during the last few luonths, and although we are informed that the disease is losing its epidemic character, it has become more or less endemic in several of the large cities. From all parts of Germany cases have been reported, and the Prussian authorities are wisely distributing information and advice in regard to the disease amongst the medical profession and the general public. Fortunately for us the advent of summer is a favourable circumstance which will niilitate against the spread of the disease, but it is to be hoped that we shall not allow ourselves to be lulled into a sense of
