An investigation of the TiAl intermetallic compound mechanical properties has been undertaken in the temperature interval of 20-1050°C. Its properties have been found to be considerably dependent on the structure of grain boundaries. Absorption properties of grain boundaries and mechanical behaviour of the intermetallic material are shown to be interrelated
