The following abstracts were presented at the British Association of Endocrine Surgeons meeting held in Pisa, Italy on 10th May 2002. The BJS prize was awarded to C. Wong, T. Lai, C. E. Stewart, J. M. P. Holly and the late J. R. Farndon for their presentation ‘Selective oestrogen receptor modulators inhibit the effects of insulin‐like growth factors in hyperparathyroidism’.
