Neutral and cationic palladium allyl complexes with bidentate ligands Ph2P(CH2)nCO2–(n= 1–3; X-ray crystal structure determination for complexes with n= 1 and 2) or Ph2P(CH2)nCO2R (n= 1–3; R = Me, Et) have been prepared and used as catalysts for the codimerization of ethylene and styrene and for the Cooligomerization of ethylene and carbon monoxide.
