The syntheses and crystal structures of binuclear gold(I), silver(I) and copper(I) complexes containing bulky pyridyl functionalized alkyl ligands were reported. All syntheses were carried out under an atmosphere of dry argon using standard Schlenk techniques. The complexes were found to be centrosymmetric with each ligand bridging the two metal centres which were in close proximity to each other
