We hypothesized that upregulation of angiotensin type 1 receptor (AT(1)R) and inducible nitric oxide (NO) synthase (iNOS) within the rostral ventrolateral medulla (RVLM) could contribute to two-kidney, one-clip (2K-1C) hypertension.
