In want of a magnetograph I employed for this purpose the Kew pattern magnetometer of the Cambridge Scientific Instrument Co. This instrument is used also for my systematic researches in terrestrial magnetism in Poland. I made my observations during a few days at precisely the same point in the racing field at a distance of about 0.5 km. from the electric tramway line.
