“The Climate Impact of Solar Variability,” an international conference held at Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Md., April 24–27, covered the disciplines of solar physics, meteorology, climatology, and National Aeronautics and Space Administration satellite experimentation. About 90 scientists from the U.S.S.R., France, Canada, Hungary, and Australia attended. The meeting was chaired by Albert Arking, Kenneth Schatten, and Robert Schiffer.
