This volume explores the effects of physical confinement on the structure and behaviour of macromolecules and supramolecular assemblies. Surfactants, polymers, and biomolecular systems are explored in phases ranging from pure liquids to complex fluids; these are confined by interfacial effects, flow fields, or direct manipulation of the molecules themselves. Common features of confinement and deviations from bulk behaviour are emphasised.
