This paper focuses on the development of smart grid in the trends of the energy Internet, analyze the development situation of smart grid and studies the requirements for the construction of major advanced smart grid demonstration areas in China. Under this background, this paper proposes medium and long term China smart grid development strategies, key tasks, technical routes and implementation plans. And planning practices in typical regions are carried out to support the implementation of major national strategic decision-making deployments.
