A foam support is the necessary supporting device in the RCS measurement, and so reducing its influence on the low scattering target RCS measurement effectively is necessary to improve the measurement accuracy. In this paper, at first, analyzing the scattering mechanism of foam supports, and then the RCS of three different density foam supports were studied through experiments and effects of their background subtraction were analyzed. The obtained results have certain help on improving the measurement accuracy of RCS of the low scattering targets.
