The article examines questions related to the impact of computerization of the economy on the labour market in Russia are investigated. The analysis of the experience of countries that found themselves in a similar situation in an earlier period was analysed. The similarities and differences in the labour market processes are revealed in the context of computerization with the processes taking place in the labour market in the early stages of the scientific and technological revolution and industrialization. The calculation of indicators of the influence of computerization on the state of the labour market in Russia and the comparison of calculated values with real indicators are provided. Interpretation of the results is carried out and, and according to them predictions of the impact of computerization on the Russian labour market in the medium term are proposed.
