In the era of Big Data, data assets have become a strategic resource which cannot be overlooked by both society and enterprises. However, data is not equal to the assets. This paper first introduces the necessary conditions of data assetization and discriminates the concepts of data governance, data management and data asset management. Then it focuses on the unique connotation and characteristics of grid data assets. With reference to the mainstream theory of data management, the framework for the grid data asset management is set up in the combination of the characteristics of data assets, business needs and the actual situation in the power supply enterprises. Finally, this paper puts forward higher system requirements and technical requirements for China’s power supply enterprises to conduct data asset management.
